History

BioMinds was founded in 2019 by Mateusz Kierepka, Elzbieta Wlodarska and Lukasz Makowski - experts in management, programming and neurotherapy.

BioMinds XR - a therapeutic system for adults with neurological disorders based on virtual and augmented reality in product form has been developed and is undergoing therapeutic and clinical efficacy studies. An application for trademark protection has been filed with the EUIPO, and an application for invention protection is being prepared.

Underlying the development of the BioMinds XR system were not only our professional activity, discernment of the needs of the therapeutic community and patients' expectations, but also personal motivations.

People with neurological conditions are present in our immediate circle - it is also to them that we dedicate the results of our work. The BioMinds XR system significantly reduces barriers (social, architectural, environmental, motor) to accessing specialized rehabilitation for people with motor (due to, for example, neurological disease), cognitive and psychological difficulties.

The holistic approach to therapy used in the BioMInds XR system also allows therapeutic intervention for people who experience respiratory difficulties, attention problems or struggle with lowered mood as a result of COVID 19 infection. The BioMinds XR neurotherapeutic system will ultimately be designed to provide therapy to adults with neurological diseases (post-stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's Disease) in three key areas - psychological (internal balance, well-being), cognitive (attention, memory or language functions) and motor (upper limb movements and body balance).
